Alexis Busso

Alexis Busso is a Global Teaching Instructor at Tokyo International University in Japan, where she has been teaching for the past six years. She helps Japanese students improve their English language proficiency and supports international students in enhancing their technology literacy skills and academic writing. Alexis has extensive experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds and language levels, with previous positions at the American English Institute at the University of Oregon and in Bogotá, Colombia. As a Diversity Excellence Scholar during her undergraduate and graduate studies at the UO, Alexis earned a BA in International Studies and Spanish, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and an MA in Language Teaching Studies. She has presented at various Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) conferences on topics ranging from blended learning to gamification and metacognitive strategies. Dedicated to helping students achieve their goals, Alexis believes in the transformative power of education. Beyond her professional work, she enjoys running, hiking, and getting lost in a good book.
