"Jim" Mockford, retired after over 20 years in the computer electronics and software industry in a position that involved work in China, Japan, and Taiwan and previous positions in education and public affairs involving Japan. Currently, he is the Board President of the Northwest China Council since 2021 and the author of a bilingual Chinese and English illustrated children's book, "The Kite That Touched the Sky" (2020).
