Laura is a Library Media Specialist in Portland Public Schools. She completed her Master’s in Educational Leadership at the University of Oregon. Laura has a strong focus on Information Literacy Teaching and Learning for her students. She is a Board Member on Action 4 Media Education. Laura is currently on the Teacher’s Advisory Council at the Oregon Historical Society and was a member of the team during the 3rd and 4th grade Portland History Reader Revision for the 2022 Edition. As the Region Four Regional Representative for the Oregon Association of School Librarians (OASL) she is able to support other school library media specialists with ongoing professional growth and development. Her philosophy is to stay open, and use your power for good.
