Paris Ariana Jenkins

Paris A. Jenkins, a young African American alumna of the University of Oregon, is a shining example of dedication, drive, and a passion for making a difference. Originally from Michigan, Paris relocated to Oregon at the tender age of eight, where she nurtured a lifelong dream of becoming an extraordinary global business and corporate attorney. Following her graduation in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies – a testament to her global perspective – and minors in Legal Studies and Spanish, Paris further solidified her well-rounded skillset. While serving as a business intern at Chick-fil-A during her undergraduate studies (and being offered a full-time position!), Paris's ambitions led her to pursue a more dynamic opportunity with the University of Oregon. Here, she thrived as a Project Manager for the University's Advancement and Communications Business Group, honing her leadership and project management skills. Paris's commitment to social justice was evident throughout her academic career. As an inaugural member of the Social Activism Arc, she actively participated in promoting social change. Her passion for legal advocacy was further ignited by serving as a legal intern for then-Representative Janelle Bynum. Today, Paris continues to support Congresswoman Bynum as a Legislative Aid and Legal Assistant, gaining invaluable experience in the political arena. This fall, Paris will embark on a new chapter, attending the University of Oregon's School of Law to pursue her Juris Doctor (JD) in International, Business, and Corporate Law. Remarkably, she will be the first person on either side of her family to pursue a JD, paving the way for future generations. Described by leaders and mentors as an "unstoppable force of nature," Paris inspires those around her. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – the first African American sorority – she follows in the footsteps of remarkable women like Kamala Harris and Kellie Johnson, further fueling her aspirations for incredible achievements. With her unwavering determination, intellectual prowess, and unwavering commitment to social justice, Paris is destined to make an indelible mark on the world.
