Blanca Aranda Gómez García

Blanca Aranda Gómez García, teaches language, and Latin American literature and culture courses in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages at Western Washington University. Blanca’s research and teaching interests are guided by her will to strengthen the connections between the written word and oral traditions linked to different textualities and textual practices. Since her scholarship aims to reframe the concept of intertextuality within a Latin American context, she often incorporates alternative materials into her teaching and encourages students to understand these textualities as elements of a complex matrix of historical, social, and economic relations in which they themselves are immersed.
