Liz is the Director, Tourism Development at Visit Seattle. In her current role, she is responsible for promoting the city of Seattle as a world-class destination to international visitors. She and her team work with media, travel trade, airlines and cruise lines to bring economic benefit to the community through tourism dollars. Liz graduated from University of Oregon in 2005 with a BA in Romance Languages (French & Italian) and Comparative Literature. She began working in the tourism industry in Alaska before moving to Seattle in 2014 to handle sales for an international airline. She joined Visit Seattle in 2019 where she rebuilt the organization’s international outreach efforts after the pandemic by hiring a full staff in Seattle and reopening representation offices in key overseas markets.
