Shasta Kearns Moore

Shasta Kearns Moore is an accomplished journalist, writer, and entrepreneur with experience in reporting, editing, blogging, and publishing. In 2021, Shasta started MedicalMotherhood.com, a weekly newsletter on raising disabled children. Her work has been published in National Public Radio, The Oregonian, Oregon Public Broadcasting, Oregon Business Journal, Travel Oregon, Willamette Week and many other media outlets. Previously, Shasta was a reporter at the Portland Tribune, where she published award-winning stories on education and health care. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon's School of Journalism and Communications and interned at foreign newspapers. She speaks French, Russian, Japanese, Spanish and American Sign Language with varying degrees of success. Shasta is currently vice-chair of the Oregon Public Records Advisory Council and a member of the Clackamas County Developmental Disabilities Council.
