Evan Centanni is the award-winning founder, editor, and lead cartographer of Political Geography Now (www.polgeonow.com), an online resource for map-illustrated articles on changes to the world’s countries, borders, and other territorial arrangements. When possible, his work seeks to undermine simplistic conceptions of the Earth’s division into nation-states, and to sidestep dominant narratives by describing things in more basic terms. His conflict maps have appeared in various academic, government, and UN publications, and been referenced by major news media including Al Jazeera, the BBC, The Economist, and Bloomberg. He has no home base, and enjoys wandering from place to place doing biodiversity surveys for citizen science projects.
